About Fronds
Growers first,
shopkeepers second.
We're a small plant studio helping real apartments turn into tiny jungles — one honest recommendation at a time.
Our story
Started on a fire escape,
moved to a corner shop.
Fronds began as a weekend cutting-swap on a Brooklyn fire escape. Five years and a few thousand repottings later, we're a small team of growers and designers helping people keep plants alive in real apartments — the dim ones, the dry ones, the cat-occupied ones.
We still grow slowly, buy from nurseries we know by name, and answer every care question ourselves.
What we believe
Small studio, stubborn values.
Grow slow
Seasonal varieties in small batches beat a warehouse of stressed monsteras every time.
Waste less
Compostable packaging, returned-pot credit, and cuttings that get a second life on the swap shelf.
Teach everything
Workshops, care cards, and honest advice — including "that corner is too dark, save your money."
